Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center presents Rachmaninov: The Composer

The year 2023 marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of supreme virtuoso pianist and composer, Sergei Rachmaninov, who stole the hearts of listeners worldwide with achingly beautiful melodies and alluring harmonies. Rachmaninov emerged as one of the last great Romantic composers, and this concert pairs his singular voice with those of his mentors and contemporaries, tracing the lineage of his particular style of piano-forward composition. In tribute to his legacy, this piano-centered program pairs his singular voice with those of his mentors and contemporaries.
