The Ground Glass

Reception: June 25 | 2-4 pm

Gallery Hours:

Saturday, 12-6pm
Sunday, 12-5pm

As a group of photographers, The Ground Glass challenges its members to be unseen. Ironically, their invisibility is best achieved through the connections and trust they establish with their subjects. This exhibition’s work is indicative of a community of photographers whose approach to lens-based art varies; however, they all have a similar passion for seeing and sharing a vision of the wider community they call home: Westchester County.

The Ground Glass’s membership consists of professional and accomplished amateur photographers who work in a variety of formats and techniques, from traditional film to alternative processes, as well as contemporary digital capture and manipulation. The Ground Glass encourages each photographer to produce images that fuse these skills with their own imaginations and curious minds, which are honed over many years of life-experience.
