Elijah and the Not for Prophets Klezmer Concert

Elijah and the Not for Prophets, a band of seven passionate musicians, brings the sounds, songs and history of Klezmer music to the Ossie Davis Theater.

Klezmer embraces the melodies and rhythms of Ukrainian and Romanian music, Balkan and others. For 500 years these traveling Jewish musicians (klezmorim) went to towns and villages to perform at weddings, holiday parties and other celebrations in Christian and Jewish communities in the public square and private homes.
