Confronting Hate: 1937-1952 (Virtual)

This virtual program, presented by the New York Historical Society,  examines the history of the groundbreaking media campaign launched by American Jewish Committee in 1937 to combat growing anti-Semitism. This campaign, through vibrant posters, engaging comic books, newspaper advertisements, radio spots, and television cartoons, graphically confronted not only anti-Semitism, but racism and nativism as well,  and championed democratic values and understanding.
