Composers of the Future Concert
Come hear beautiful music composed by Songcatchers students! In collaboration with Jon Deak, Founder of the NY Philharmonic’s Very Young Composers Program, and with JL Marlor, professional composer, songwriter, and educator, Songcatchers’ newest “Composers of the Future” class has been working hard to write, develop, and orchestrate their own original music.
On March 5, 2023, the childrens’ musical compositions will be performed by a professional wind quintet comprised of Songcatchers professional mentors and community friends. The student composers will also introduce and discuss their compositions as well.
The concert will be held at the Ossie Davis Theater at the New Rochelle Public Library. This is a free concert, but donations will be gratefully accepted. Don’t miss this wonderful concert!
