Writing Flash Fiction with Beth Hahn (via Zoom)
Join one of our most beloved teachers, Beth Hahn, as she provides you a warm, inviting, safe space to discuss elements of flash and workshop new pieces.
Every week, we will look at new and contemporary flash writers, prose poets, and the journals that admire short narrative. We will read and discuss early and famous examples of flash. Through prompts, we will experiment with form—hermit crab, vignettes, and epistolary. By the end of the session, each student should have six new flash pieces as well as a broader understanding of form.
NB: This class will be taught on Zoom and will be capped at 10 students. Registrants will receive the Zoom link to the email address they use to register. It will arrive immediately after registration so please check your spam folder if you do not receive it. It will also be sent the day before class as a reminder. Please review the course policies page before registering for any classes. Please email ask @writerscenter.org with any questions.
