The Rye Art Center, in collaboration with The Ground Glass Photography Group, is pleased to present a retrospective of the life’s work of photographer, Alan Model.
Alan, a long time member and benefactor of The Rye Art Center and past president & charter member of The Ground Glass Photography Group, sadly passed away this past year. Alan was an early adapter and accomplished practitioner of the “Decisive Moment” style & philosophy of photography attributed to and made popular by French street photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson, who was perhaps one of Alan’s greatest inspirations. This exhibit, curated by Patrick J. Cicalo and Rita Baunok is just a small collection of images Alan created over nearly 5 decades in the photographic arts.
