Oh Hudson! A Music and Poetry Celebration of the Hudson Valley

|

Oh Hudson! commemorates the 400th anniversary of Henry Hudson’s exploration of the river that now bears his name, and was commissioned by The Empire State Plaza Performing Arts Center and the Hudson Quadricentennial Committee. This special performance in the HRM’s galleries features award-winning poet and storyteller David Gonzalez in collaboration with the dynamic violin and piano duo of Gretchen Koehler and Daniel Kelly, who is the HRM’s Teaching Artist-in-Residence this fall.

Following the performance, enjoy a poetry workshop to personalize its themes, through prompts offered by the artists connected to works of art in Cycles of Nature. Share your ideas with the group and take them home to develop into your own epics.
