Jeremy Toussaint-Babtiste Sound Sculpture Activation
Louisiana-born, Brooklyn-based artist, composer, and performer Toussaint-Baptiste will present an outdoor sculptural sound piece entitled In … and Drive (Far Away), which is a transformed
decommissioned police car that amplifies his original Gulf Coast rap composition. According to Toussaint-Baptiste, “his work considers notions of errant relations that thrive across subjectivities.” His work has been shown at MoMA PS1 and Philadelphia Museum of Art, among other venues. In 2018, he received a Bessie Award for Outstanding Music Composition and Sound Design. Toussaint-Baptiste holds an MFA in Performance and Interactive Media Arts from Brooklyn College.
Performance will be held on September 10 as part of KinoSaito’s One Year Anniversery Celebration
