Silent Auction for Ukraine Refugees
They may be new in town, but they are already getting creative for a cause. The forces behind the Croton River Artisans Gallery are holding a silent auction of original artwork made by local artists to benefit Ukraine. The gallery, which opened its doors in April, is home to the artwork of community artisans Orit Daly, Keith Gordon, Sharon Kullberg, Jennifer Larrabee, Tracy Platero, Jennifer Rutheny, Gwenveria Sargeant, AnnMarie Sasso, Jeff Thornton, and Tsui Yuen-Pappas.
Items for auction include paintings, pastels, photographs, sculpture, pottery, quilts, jewelry and more. In addition to work from the founding members, the auction will also include work from Alene Tift, Ella Erskine, Karen Timo, Ketti North, Asya Reznikov, Eleanor Kwai, Phuong Su, and Tom Smith and others.
Proceeds will be split between World Central Kitchen and the International Fund for Animal Welfare. The auction is currently underway in the gallery and will close July 17 at 5:30 pm.
To see the artworks, go to CrotonRiverArtisans on Instagram, or Croton River Artisans page on Facebook. Then visit the gallery in Croton’s Upper Village to place your bids. Auction closes at 5:30 p.m. Sunday July 17.
