Spring has sprung in downtown Katonah! Luminous paintings of nature are in full bloom at Chroma Fine Art Gallery through May 15. Pratibha Garewal’s vibrant watercolors present a bug’s eye view of exuberantly sensuous flowers, petals and blossoms. She imbues roses, morning glory and gladiolas with an appealingly tropical flair. Catherine Caulfield Russell’s plein-air landscapes bridge the classical with the contemporary. Masterful, painterly brushstrokes merge to form dense, evocative, and lustrous vistas of land and sea. The paintings by Michael Summers reflect his reverence for nature’s imperfect perfection. He deftly renders the texture of leafy foliage, reflective waterways, and the subtle effects of diffused sunlight and a gentle breeze in the air.
