Photography is For the Birds – Workshop with Bonnie Coe and Bill Golden

Come and learn the best techniques for photographing birds. Join wildlife photographer Bill Golden and Bonne Coe for a bird photography workshop on Saturday, April 23, 2022 between 10:00 AM. and 12 Noon (rain date April 30). The workshop will be 2 hours. The first 45 minutes will be instructional with a photo presentation. Bill and Bonnie will explain what settings are most effective in photographing birds and share tips on how to photograph birds in flight. The remainder of the time will be spent in the field giving participants hands-on supervised experience on the grounds of Bethany Arts Community. Attendees will be invited to remain on the property until 3 PM if they wish to practice on their own.

Bill conducts bird photography field trips for the Rockefeller State Park Preserve in New York. Bonnie coordinates Project Feeder Watch for Saw Mill River Audubon and monitors blue bird boxes at Croton Point Park for Bronx River Audubon Sound Shore’s Eastern Bluebird Project. Bill and Bonnie’s photographs have been shown in exhibitions at the Rockefeller Park Preserve Gallery, Ossining Arts Council, Bethany Arts Community, Garrison Art Center, as well as in the New York Hall of Science Museum. Their award-winning bird photographs have been used by Saw Mill River Audubon. Both have shared photographs and articles about birds in publications such as the Preserve Observer and the Hudson River Almanac.
