Docent Tour of “The World of Frida” and “Frida Kahlo in Context”

Learn about the works on view in The World of Frida and Frida Kahlo in Context on an interactive tour with an HRM Docent. View a selection of works by contemporary artists inspired by the iconic Mexican proto-feminist surrealist painter, and see photographic portraits that capture Frida Kahlo’s personality, fashion, and domestic life, including her relationship with Diego Rivera, whose painting La ofrenda is on loan from Art Bridges. Also included in the exhibition are traditional dance costumes from Frida’s maternal homeland of Oaxaca, on loan from the Ballet Folklorico Mexicano de Nueva York.
