About the Artist:
Elijah Goodwin blends the soul of an artist with the mind and training of a scientist. Born and raised in New England, he currently lives in Tarrytown, NY. An award-winning photographer, he is also a working scientist, currently working as the Ecology & GIS Manager for Stone Barns Center For Food and Agriculture. He is also the owner/photographer/educator for Whimbrel Nature, his own photography and ecological consulting business. Recently he was honored with the 2021 Lawrence Salley Photography Award through ArtsWestchester, African American Men of Westchester, and the Larry Salley family. His images have been used by organizations including the National Park Service, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and National Geographic News, among others.
