The Sanctuary Series presents “Hope & Reflection” featuring Jeffrey Biegel, piano
The Sanctuary Series welcomes back virtuosic performer, Jeffrey Biegel, to kick-off the fall portion of our 2021 – 2022 season.
In 1985, Leonard Bernstein said of the pianist: “He is a splendid musician and a brilliant performer.” Those comments together with numerous first place competition prizes helped launch a prolific and varied career as a soloist, composer, arranger and chamber musician. In 2019, Mr. Biegel was soloist for Kenneth Fuchs’s Grammy award winning “Piano Concerto “Spiritualist with the London Symphony Orchestra.
Chosen as the first pianist to record for the Steinway & Sons label, his performance will feature Bach and Beethoven as well as several new pieces he wrote during the pandemic. One of which, “Reflection of Justice: An Ode to Ruth Bader Ginsburg,” he premiered on October 7 with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.
The concert concludes with Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue.
