Live Demonstration: Painting with Fire by Richard Coico

Saturday July 24 starting at 6pm

Artist Richard Coico will give a live demonstration on how he created with fire!

In this demonstration, you will see the raw materials used to prepare encaustic medium (beeswax, damar resin, pigments, other resins). A demonstration of the application of encaustic medium to birch panels and the blow torch fusion process will allow you to witness how molten wax is creatively transformed into images that can be overlaid with more medium, resins and pigments.

Light refreshments will be served.
