Exhibit: To Pablo Neruda With Gratitude
Exhibit: To Pablo Neruda With Gratitude
Las Odas / The Odes
The Chilean Poet and Diplomat, Pablo Neruda, brought us an appreciation of everyday things in our lives, twenty-four of them, including tables, socks and french fries. He gave meaning to the commonplace. The show will feature both the poems with a focus on chairs.
There is also an art piece on Pockets to celebrate National Poem In Your Pocket Day in April with suggestions about how you can participate and enjoy the day.
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
I have poems in my pocket,
How about you?
Pockets
Pockets are my purse. They are my hands-free. They hold keys, cards, cash as well as empty paper wrappers, used hair ties and lint. My third grade teacher asked me, if I put my hands in my pockets, would I be able to speak?
Exhibit Hours: M-F, 10am – 4pm (see website for more)
