Of the many choral settings of the Requiem, Fauré’s is probably the most widely loved and performed. It is his almost “simple” setting of peacefulness and serenity that gives it a universal appeal. The New Choral Society will present this masterwork for chorus, soprano and baritone soloists, with organ, strings and harp accompaniment.
