Sheltering In Stanzas: An Evening of Poetry and the Arts
Remembering that stanza means “room,” Westchester poets will gather to speak to their experiences of poetry and art during the pandemic. In a time of isolation, these writers will share what’s “in the room” for them—the art they turn to as solace, talisman, or polestar—as they navigate this collective moment. The evening will feature poets from across our communities, as well as the Westchester County Poet Laureate, B.K. Fischer, Youth Poet Laureate, Danielle Kohn, and acclaimed writer, Iain Haley Pollock, in celebrating the poetry and art that fills the rooms we inhabit, interior or exterior, imaginative and actual.
