The “Yonkers Community Quilt” – art series for those who are interested in art or want to participate in a community project that showcases the diversity of the city. We anticipate participants of this project to be children along with parents and grandparents; also people who have never had the chance to be part of the great collective creation of a work of art. We hope to include and inspire older children and teenagers who are busy with computers and cell phones to experience the magic and fun of creativity. We are using basic art supplies like crayons, black Sharpie marker, washable markers and paints. Sometimes we need scissors and glue.
