Youth Ceramics Workshop: Texture Plates

Inspired by the contemporary Japanese ceramics on view at the KMA, and in collaboration with the Clay Art Center, this workshop invites youth artists to experiment with unique hand-built clay techniques. Working virtually with Clay Art Center teaching artist Jeanne Carreau, students will transform a slab of clay into a one-of-a-kind plate using just their hands and basic tools. Workshop kits will be available for pickup at the KMA prior to the event.

Ages 8-14; no prior ceramics experience necessary. Advanced registration required; maximum of 10 participants. Further details will be sent upon registration. KMA/CAC members $30; non-members $40 (includes materials).
