Harrison Council for the Arts presents “Captured Moments” a virtual art exhibit by Tamar Drucker at the Harrison Public Library online at (https://www.harrisonpl.org/art). Tamar Drucker is a fiber artist, she uses a variety of fabrics and threads to collage, dye, embroider and sew her art work. This virtual exhibition celebrates the captured moments of life.
Tamar was born in Israel and moved with her family to the USA in 1985. Soon after she was introduced to quilting. Her passion for art, fiber and texture became evident in her artwork. She likes to incorporate machine and hand quilting, hand embroidery, mostly using commercial fabrics, sometimes using her own painted or dyed fabrics. Tamar has been exhibiting her work nationally and internationally.
Tamar belongs to Northern Star Quilt Guild in Somers NY, SAQA (Studio Art Quilt Association), FANE (Fiber Artist North East), Ossining Arts Council, and Israel quilters association.
Tamar is retired from teaching Hebrew and Judaic studies in Westchester, devoting herself to her art form. She lives with her family in Ossining, NY.
