New works, new ways of working.

“I began my largest canvas, LIGHTS ACROSS THE BAY, in mid March, the start of isolation. The piece identifies with an immediate sense of separation, distance, longing and hope.

Without a press, and studio repartee with fellow artists, in April I began creating cyanotypes. Harvesting nature and sunlight, balancing it with my hand – additions of watercolor, gouache and metal leaf.

Much of the work in this exhibition was completed in 2020. Sourcing the light and narrative between pairings of works for a language in and of itself. Hence, DUETS.”
