Artist Vinnie Bagwell, who lives and works in Yonkers, recently won a high-profile commission from NYC’s Department of Cultural Affairs to design a new monument in Central Park. Her proposed submission, entitled “Victory Beyond Sims,” is anticipated to be installed in 2021.
