The Amish Project at The Schoolhouse Theatre: October 3-20: The Amish Project from Jessica Dickey is a fictional exploration of the Nickel Mines schoolhouse shooting in an Amish community, and the path of forgiveness and compassion forged in its wake. The play debuted at The Rattlesnake Theatre in Greenwich Village in 2009 and then went on a national tour. Neil Genzlinger, a theatre critic for The New York Times, called it “a remarkable piece of writing”. Here, Katherine Michell Tanner revisits her performances from the 2009 run.
