Hudson Valley Music Club November Mostly Morning Concert
On Tuesday, November 12, at 11:00 AM, the Hudson Valley Music Club will present a Mostly Morning Concert featuring two ensembles. The Hoff-Barthelson Woodwind Quintet will perform Sextet in C-Minor, Op. 40 for Piano and Woodwind Quintet by Louise Farrenc (1804-1875).Members of the ensemble are:Donna Elaine, flute; Elizabeth Condon, oboe; Dorothy Duncan, clarinet; ; Darlene Kaukoranta, horn; Gili Sharett, bassoon; Tomoko Uchino, piano. A string quartet (Laura Rice and Kathleen Thomson, violins; Bernie Klinger, viola; Lisa Olsson, cello) will celebrate 100 years of women’s suffrage by performing two pieces composed in 1919: Victor Herbert’s piece entitled “I Might Be Your Once-in-a-While”; ands a string quartet written by French composer Germaine Tailleferre.
