Vento Trio Presents: Wind, Waves and Migration Chamber Music Concert

On Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Blue Door Art Center, Vento Trio presents Wind, Waves and Migration – The woodwind trio of Kevin Willois – flute, Sarah Bednarcik – clarinet and Janet Grice – bassoon, will be joined by: Glauco Lima – piano, Dennis Bulhoes – drums, Paul Socolow – bass, Paulo Siqueira – bassoon, flute, sax.

Vento Trio plays contemporary and dance-inspired music of the Americas that intersects jazz and classical traditions. Committed to promoting little known works of Brazil, they also premeired Janet Grice’s Hudson Views, inspired by the Hudson River in Westchester County, and Lake Tear of the Clouds, based on the source of the Hudson. Recently they toured the Adirondacks and lower Hudson Valley. Formed in 2004 at Rutgers University, Vento Trio released 2 CDs, performed at Chamber Music America, Brazil, France, International Double Reed Society conferences, and throughout NY and NJ.
