Downtown Music at Grace Free Concert: Wednesday, May 29, 12:00 to 1:00 PM: Angelica, the women’s chamber choir directed by Marie Caruso

Angelica, the women’s chamber choir directed by Marie Caruso, has delighted our Downtown Music audience with its holiday programming for many years. This wonderful group offers an annual spring concert as well which, this season, carries the title Vox Feminarum, and features works written by women from the 13th to the 21st century. Highlights include music of Hildegard von Bingen and Maddelena Casulana; selections from the Codex Las Huelgas (13th c., Anon.); and the premieres of works by 18th-century composer Maria Rosa Coccia.
