Concerts at the OSilas: “A Crossing Song”

We invite you to a delightfully different concert experience. Concordia Conservatory presents the third season of Concerts at the OSilas, in which our music faculty is featured in themed concerts performed among beautiful artworks in the acoustically rich OSilas Gallery. View the art up-close while you listen and watch the masterful acrobatics of music-making in this intimate atmosphere, and enjoy being enlightened as the musicians tell the stories of the compositions they will play.

A Crossing Song will celebrate composers who became some of the most influential, boundary-crossing musicians of our time, as art song repertoire is explored. Christian Šebek, tenor, Emily Kalish, violin, and Lee Metcalf, guitar, will perform works by Glass, Bolcom, Bowles, and Reich, composers who made a great impact not only on music, but on art and culture as well. The concert complements the exhibition Bronxville Collects: Selections in Contemporary Art from the Local Collector.
