Special Tour: Yonkers, Glenview and WWI

In commemoration of the centennial of the Armistice ending the First World War, Glenview tours begin with an appreciation of “Women & War: Feminine Imagery in World War I Posters”  and then continue in Glenview, where guides will discuss how Yonkers was involved in the war effort. Tours at 1 & 3pm.

Organized to commemorate the centennial of World War I, this installation focuses on the power of the poster to galvanize public opinion and support the country’s war efforts. The current selection also incorporates women’s contributions to this movement.
