Rendezvous in America
Acclaimed soprano Justine Aronson and the Music from Copland House ensemble offer a program of works by some of early-20th century Vienna’s most formidable musical figures, who found success, solace, or frustration in their new homes in the New World. The program includes captivating and rarely-heard works by the seminal composers Gustav Mahler and Arnold Schoenberg, renowned professor Alexander Zemlinsky, famed conductor (and gifted composer) Bruno Walter, and the notorious muse of 20th-century Europe, Alma Mahler.
