Drag Queen Story Hour

After the Thanksgiving Parade, everyone is invited to enjoy Drag Queen Story Hour (DQSH). A popular national initiative in hundreds of libraries, schools, and bookstores around the world, DQSH captures the imagination and play of the gender fluidity of childhood and gives kids glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models. In spaces like this, kids are able to see people who defy rigid gender restrictions and imagine a world where people can present as they wish, where dress up is real. Angel Elektra, a resident of Yonkers, will bring stories, crafts, charm and lots of fun to our DQSH event! Children’s Room and Meeting Room. Free.
