The first screening in OPL’s 125th Anniversary Film Series is
“The Wicker Man” (1974), an occult thriller set off the coast of Scotland. Edward Woodward portrays a Police Sargeant investigating the disappearance of a young girl. Christopher Lee and Diane Cilento also memorably star and Ingrid Pitt portrays a librarian who serves as the town Registrar.
This chilling classic realistically depicts a secret society and pagan ritual. It is regarded as the definitive British cult film. Chilling.
