PAINTING FROM LIFE WITH MARYBETH MCKENZIE

We are thrilled to have Mary Beth McKenzie back to KAC, The Katonah Art Center is delighted to announce the return of renowned figure painter Mary Beth McKenzie for her second three-day workshop at KAC. Painting From Life with Mary Beth McKenzie will be held October 24-26 at KAC’s new location in Mt. Kisco, NY. Mary Beth Mackenzie has been hailed as one of the great painters and portraitists of our time. Her works number among the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the National Museum of Women in the Arts, and the Brooklyn Museum and she is the recipient of numerous prestigious honors and awards, including the Thomas B. Clarke Prize from the National Academy of Design. McKenzie has held solo exhibitions at galleries throughout the country and her works have been featured in major group exhibitions. A retrospective of her work is currently on display, through Sept. 24, in an exhibition titled “Mary Beth McKenzie: A Life in Art” at the Erie Museum of Art in Erie PA.
