Striven is a hard rock band from Westchester, NY & CT featuring:
Greg Capra (Rhythm/Lead Guitar & Vocals)
Conor O’Leary (Drums)
Steve Riccio (Bass)
Established in 2011, they have remained true to their grunge-rock and heavy metal roots. The focus of Striven is to retain that style while also producing a new sound for a modern audience. The word striven means to struggle in opposition, to push through the boundaries of adversity and reach a desired goal. This is the reason why this band refers to itself as striven, as the band strives to push beyond the tests of life.
Striven’s main influences include:
Alice In Chains, Black Label Society, Faith No More, and Megadeth, to name a few.
Dead Weight Burden
Dead Weight Burden is a powerhouse, southern, hard rocking, heavy blues band from Port Chester, NY. Power-trio may be an often used and over rated description, but that is exactly what Dead Weight Burden are. The band have the uncanny knack to kick things into overdrive with heavy metal aggression, soothe your soul with beautiful acoustic melodies and heartfelt vocals, and get you shaking with deep grooves and southern rock swagger.
The band has opened for well know names such as Mike Tramp of White Lion at the Chance in Poughkeepsie NY. They have played numerous shows locally in the Westchester County and Fairfield County areas and play the Ossining NY Street Fair every year.
