Island Breeze

Our opening program on June 23rd will be Island Breeze. Island Breeze, a Caribbean and steel drum group, will create the relaxing and fun atmosphere of the Caribbean in Untermyer Park, combining the beautiful sounds of steel drums with bass, drums, percussion, guitar and vocals. They will entertain us with many of the well known Calypso and Reggae hits from the islands, by artists such as Harry Belafonte, Bob Marley, and Jimmy Cliff, providing an amazing start to summer at Untermyer Park!

Our events are admission free and open to the public. Performances are on the Great Lawn Stage; please bring lawn chairs or picnic blankets, as seating is not provided.

In case of rain, call the Untermyer Performing Arts Council’s ArtsLine, 914-375-3435, or check our website (www.untermyer.com) after 2 p.m. the day of the performance for confirmation of the program’s location. This year our rain site will be the Saunders High School, 183 Palmer Road, Yonkers.
