Excursion

Spend a day with Master Jeff Shapiro at his studio in Accord, NY. The day will include a tour of his studios and kiln shed, which includes two wood kilns, stories that have emerged from the 9 years Shapiro spent living and studying in Japan, clay demonstrations that draw from the aesthetic of the imperfections of nature, and a tea ceremony demo. A simple sushi lunch will be provided as well as a sake tasting using an array of sake vessels.
