THE MATSURI JAPANESE CULTURAL FESTIVAL AT THE HARRISON LIBRARY
The Harrison Library will be celebrating the Matsuri Japanese Cultural Festival with special programs throughout the day, including
— Japanese Tea Ceremony at 1:15 pm and 2 pm. Tea is the favorite beverage of the Japanese and an ever-present part of daily life. A cup of tea is always offered to a guest. During this tea ceremony demonstration, you will be served a cup of green tea and a Japanese sweet. In addition, you can try various types of Japanese tea.
— Calligraphy Demonstration at 1:30 pm. This hands-on demonstration of Japanese calligraphy will give participants an opportunity to create their own calligraphy keepsake.
— Ikebana Flower Arrangements at 1:30 pm. Learn how to create beautiful Japanese floral arrangements.
This is a free, family-friendly event.
