Hamm & Clov Stage Company Presents Labyrinth Dance Theater’s Production of NOOR

NOOR interprets the harrowing story of a young female pacifist name Noor (daughter of an Indian Sufi poet and musician Inayat Khan and his American wife) who was the first Morse code operator from Great Britain to infiltrate Nazi-occupied France during WWII. Known by her code name Madeleine, she was ultimately betrayed and executed at Dachau and posthumously received the Croix de Guerre for her bravery. In 2012, Princess Anne unveiled a bust of her in London.

Performance (45 minutes) followed by a Q&A with the visionary choreographer Sasha Spielvogel (Labyrinth Dance Theater) and the lead dancer Felicia Norton. Presenting Felicia Norton as Noor, this is the incredible real life spy story told in dance. Defiant to the end, her last cry was “LIBERTÉ!” Performance funded by a grant from ArtsWestchester.
