Gallery Exhibition: Black Culture, As Is: Ya Feel Me?
As part of the celebration of Black History month, this group exhibition explores the inner realms of being an African American through an artistic lens. Black Culture, As Is: Ya Feel Me? is an exhibit that combines beauty, fantasy, and abstraction into an in-depth experience that umbrellas Black culture and identity. A group of young artists give their perspective on Black identity and culture as well as brings together different mediums such as photography, paint, and short film. The work in this exhibit is a celebration of an oppressed people who still find beauty, joy, humor, and happiness in the world despite stereo-types, micro-aggression, and racism that exist against Black people.
