April Mosolino Craft Talk—The Art of the Gig

As writers, we often work in solitude and yet in order to sustain this singular life, we must constantly interact with the world. How does one stay focused on their artistic projects while still putting bread on the table? This lecture concerns itself with striking a balance between working creatively and working to financially sustain the writer’s life.

April Reynolds Mosolino has gone on assignment for the US State Department to lecture on creative writing and her own works. Her short stories have appeared in several anthologies. Knee-Deep in Wonder, her first novel, won a PEN award. Her second book, The Preacher King, is forthcoming. She teaches creative writing at Sarah Lawrence College.
