“Book It” Presentation

Artist, Elinor Stecher-Orel, will give an educational presentation on the art of making books, specifically, artist books.  Artist books are different in that they are innovative, unique, handmade books created with nontraditional bindings, page materials, and shapes. The pages may be as thin as tissue paper, hard as wood, or clear as glass.  The books may be bound or unbound and some may not even be able to open.  Many of Elinor’s creative books have been featured in several issues of Bound & Lettered magazine.

Please join us during “Get Caught Reading Month” for this eye opening presentation.  The Friends of the library will also be selling art books in great condition during the program.
