Drawing Out Your Soul: A Creative Day of Touch Drawing with Deborah Koff-Chapin BFA
Delve into your soul as you immerse yourself in a simple yet profound creative process. Touch Drawing provides a way for inner sensations to flow through your hands and take form on paper. Roll paint onto a smooth board and place a sheet of paper upon it. As your fingertips stroke the paper, the pressure of your touch forms impressions on the underside. The speed and directness allows you to create a series of drawings in a single session. Each is a record of your inner state in the moment it was created. When the series is complete, you can witness the flow of images; imprints of your soul in transformation.
Deborah holds a safe and sacred space while you draw with gentle drumming, gemstone crystal bowls and evocative vocals. Other expressive art forms such as vocal toning, writing and movement enrich your experience.
If you lack artistic confidence, Touch Drawing can catalyze your creativity. If you have artistic experience, it can deepen your source of inspiration. Touch Drawing has applications in a range of professions; therapy, healthcare, hospice, education, social work, and as an intuitive, spiritual or mindfulness practice. Deborah encourages you to develop your own way of integrating it into your life and work.
Deborah will also offer an evening Sacred Sound Bath. Add this to your registration for a deeply renewing creative retreat.
