Pontormo and Bronzino: Hidden Masters of the Late Renaissance

Pontormo and Bronzino had a special relationship of master and apprentice that offered the world of art some of the most unique and beautiful paintings ever created. Pontormo, the restless, eccentric Mannerist created striking pictures that prefigured modern styles like Surrealism, and Expressionism. Bronzino created and wonderfully crafted some of the most beautiful portraits ever painted. Light reception will precede the lecture at 6:30pm.
