Sarah Lawrence College Art of Teaching Program Film Series presents “To Be and to Have”

Nicolas Philibert’s 2002 French documentary, offers an in-depth look at a small school in rural France, where one remarkable man has been doing the job of a small teaching staff for 20 years. Film history faculty member Michael Cramer will speak about the aesthetics and genre of the film and French faculty member Eric Leveau will discuss the French school system.
