AUTHOR TALK

Judy Polumbaum will speak about her father, Ted Polumbaum life and work. She also will introduce the new book of selections from his archive — JUXTAPOSITIONS: IMAGES FROM THE NEWSEUM TED POLUMBAUM PHOTO COLLECTION.

For four decades, freelance photojournalist Ted Polumbaum (Harrison resident) chronicled a vast range of newsmaking people and events, including the 1965 world heavyweight boxing rematch between Muhammad Ali and Sonny Liston, the political career of Ted Kennedy from 1958 to 1969, Mississippi’s Freedom Summer campaign of 1964, and dozens of civil rights and anti–Vietnam War protests.

A new book, “Juxtapositions: Images from the Newseum Ted Polumbaum Photo Collection,” features selections from his 200,000-image archive, the largest individual photo collection held by the Newseum.
