Free the Verse: A Workshop for LGBTQ-Themed Poems
This workshop welcomes new work with an LGBTQ theme, from poets at all levels. Bring 15 copies of your poem, and 15 copies of a love poem with an LGBTQ theme by someone else — one that liberated or affirmed your sense of what you could say in a public forum. Rhyme, metric patterns, diction, image, resonance, clarity and so on, will be thoughtfully considered in each poem, as well as the intention of the writer and impact on listeners.
