Printmaking: Inspired by Nature

This printmaking workshop will take a close look at trees and use line and pattern to interpret the special characteristics of their branches, leaves and silhouettes. Printmaking artist Sine Hjort will demonstrate her safe cutting techniques and her method of letting the process of cutting lead to surprising and beautiful results. Students will carve lines and patterns in mounted linoleum blocks to create images inspired by nature, and a printing station will be set up to make limited editions of their work.
