Summer Reading Kick-off Event: State Fair!

The annual launch of the library’s summer reading game and fun-filled activities begins with a performance by the acclaimed “Bash the Trash” duo. In their fast and funny performance the audience will discover a musical world of Science, Sound and Sustainability!  Check out their crazy instruments made from junk; and then learn how you can build your own cool and weird musical noisemakers from recycled and reused materials.

Crafts and games inspired by the State-by-State Reading Game will provide a sneak peek at the full slate of summer programs on tap at the libraries. Children in pre-K through Grade 5 can register for the 2016 Summer Reading Game in the library lobby, check-out stacks of books, and start earning points for prizes.
