Brazilian Concert: “Quarteto Moderno”
Led by Richard Boukas, guitarist, composer, vocalist, and educator, the band “Quarteto Moderno” will perform some amazing Brazilian music. Formed in 2008, the ensemble features the brilliant saxophonist Lucas Pino Gustavo Amarante on bass and Adriano Santos on drums. Quarteto Moderno will perform major Brazilian genre’s including; Samba, Choro, Baiao, Marcha, Maracatu, and Guarania. Richard Boukas is considered the “best Brazilian Jazz Guitarist in the U.S.” by Guitar One Magazine.
